EnochSpeaks tackles unpleasant issues regarding the high jail and prison rate of young Black males in America and what can be done to correct this serious situation. "Charity starts at home and spreads abroad along with each one teach one is our battle cry". In today's modern and technology savvy world our children are being left behind with little to no applicable life skills. The civil rights movement must revamp itself into a new and improved educational based and life skill training organization. To ensure that discrimination stays on the ropes we must develop and implement year-round training programs designed to enable our youth to succeed in life. Enoch Hagans is the owner and publisher of the Vision Newspaper and Blogtalkradio and is using the latest in technology to spread the word throughout the minority community that change is here. President Barrack Obama has shown us that with hard work and a good education anything is possible.

President Obama
President Obama has to take the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs to the woodshed for their lack of attention to detail regarding the growing number of Veterans from the current conflict becoming homeless. This has been a growing problem that has gone unnoticed and unreported by various Department of Defense and Veterans Administration officials.
The current congressional chartered Veterans service organizations are not up to the task of assisting these new Veterans and servicemen and women who are not only computer literate but live in this new world of technology that has passed the World War II, Korean and Vietnam era Veterans by.
President Obama must address this critical need not being addressed currently by those whose job it is to protect them.

DOMA and Gay Marriage
EnochSpeaks talks about DOMA and gay marriages. The Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, is the short title of a federal law of the United States passed on September 21, 1996 as Public Law No. 104-199, 110 Stat. 2419. Its provisions are codified at 1 U.S.C. § 7 and 28 U.S.C. § 1738C. The law has two effects:
(1) No state (or other political subdivision within the United States) need treat a relationship between persons of the same sex as a marriage, even if the relationship is considered a marriage in another state.
(2) The Federal Government may not treat same-sex relationships as marriages for any purpose, even if concluded or recognized by one of the states.
The bill was passed by Congress by a vote of 85-14 in the Senate and a vote of 342-67 in the House of Representatives, and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on September 21, 1996.

The City of Clarksville was discovered to be out of compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in a 2003 Title VI Compliance Report and Audit done by the Tennessee Title VI Compliance Commission, director John Birdsong. The city presently is still out of compliance with Title VI laws, rules and regulations and is currently still receiving federal funding from the following federal agencies either directly or as a pass-through recipient of the state of Tennessee. They are as follows: The US Department of Transportation, the Federal Transit Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Aviation Agency, the Environment Protection Agency, the US Department of Commerce, the US Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The city of Clarksville and Tennessee State Agencies have fraudulently signed Letters of Assurance between the years 2002-2008 stating that they are in full compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in order to receive federal funds while in a non-compliance status. According to the US Department of Justice signing these Letters of Assurances is a form of fraud therefore making these actions are illegal.

The NAACP at one time was the boldest civil rights organization in America. What happened that has caused this great civil rights organization to decline in such numbers that it may soon cease to exist? The Clarksville NAACP located in the city of Clarksville and Montgomery County, Tennessee is a example of how civil rights failures on the local level directly affects the national organization. with the refusal of the Clarksville NAACP Branch to tackle local tough racial issurs it is only left with begging for the minority community to join during it's annual membership drive and to support the Freedom Fund Banquet to fund a branch which is dying on it's feet. With no local agenda the Clarksville NAACP exist's in name only.

Support Our Troops
As a disabled veteran who served this country, I was alarmed when reading a news article that stated that Iraq War Veterans disabilities were being downgraded! With all the talk of Support the Troops going around our nation I am reminded once again of the old saying that talk is cheap. According to this news article several soldiers were given a zero per-cent disability rating by the Army who had traumatic brain injury, caused by roadside bombs while assigned in Iraq. This is unbeleivable in this day and age that men who have put it all on the line will soon be seen walking aimlessly down the street as they join the ranks of the homeless. This is an outrage that must be addressed before our veterans wounded in this conflict hit rock bottom!
